| This is an extremely good and quite
original local fly pattern for Umba River and its tributaries. Mostly used as summer or
early autumn pattern tied on hooks N 6-8. Tied according and by permission of inventor:
Alexandr Ryzhkov from Kola town Polar Downs. There are a few variants of this fly
including on tubes. The fly was most successful fishing in "throats" or
"tails" of pools. © Text, Jurij Shumakov,
